Oh, hi! You’re a human. I’m a human. Here we are, living on Earth, in this time of trouble and possibility. This newsletter is a place to make sense of that together.

For the better part of my life, I’ve been in the deep of creative sense-making about climate and much more—All We Can Save, The All We Can Save Project, Climate Wayfinding, A Matter of Degrees podcast, a TED Talk from back in the day, Drawdown, Between God and Green, etc. (If you’re curious, learn more on my website.) But the need for sense-making is vast and ongoing, and somehow I feel like it’s only just begun.

“It is no small thing to be human on Earth.” That’s the opening line of my new book (now available everywhere books are sold) and the taproot of this newsletter. Here on Substack, I’ll send along regular reflections about the not-at-all-small thing of being alive on this magnificent, changing planet we call home. That’ll look like…
